Lauren's parents are Donna Grant (a candy industry lobbyist) and Lawrence Graham. Lauren Graham is of Irish, English and Scottish origin. Her mother comes from her native American South and her father was from New York. Her parents were born in Northern Virginia, USA. They are Fairfax, Arlington, Great Falls, VA. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Master's degree in acting. Her father was her only parent. She was 5 when her parents divorced. As a young girl she was aspired to be the jockey. But her height made it impossible. She was a frequent traveler with her father in her youth as well as discovered acting when she was in the elementary school. Her resume also includes theater films, television and theatre.
